Welcome to the Pearson 385 Owners site. The Pearson 385 center cockpit sailboat was built from 1984 to around 1986 and approximately forty were built. Pearson called them “Space ships” due to their interior volume and spacious accommodations. Sloop rig (not sure if any were cutter rigged from the factory), large center cockpit with excellent visibility, wide side decks, five large Bomar hatches on deck and 13 opening ports for great ventilation. Two private cabins, large v-berth forward with head/sink, aft owners cabin with athwartship berth and head with stall shower. Salon with a large table seats six. Galley with three burner propane stove & oven. Large icebox. Engine room access is excellent (all four sides) many with 44HP Yanmar (or Perkins 4-108) diesels. Fiberglass water tanks to carry approx. 170 gallons of fresh water, 45 gallon aluminum fuel tank. Complete specifications can be found here in the original Pearson 385 Brochure.
